Removal Only — No Reinstall

Solar Panel Removal Service in Arizona

Sometimes you don't need a detach and reset — you just need the panels gone. Whether you're selling the home, moving, decommissioning an aging system, or replacing it with a new installation later, we handle straight removal of residential solar systems across Arizona.

Solar panel removal is mechanically simpler than a detach-reset, but the safety, electrical disconnect, and roof-resealing steps are identical. We pull the panels, racking, conduit, and inverter; safely shut down the system per Arizona electrical code; and properly seal every penetration point so your roof stays watertight long after we leave.

We can take the equipment with us for proper disposal/recycling, leave it on-site if you have plans for it, or coordinate with a third party. Most full removals are completed in a single day for residential systems under 40 panels.

  • Full panel, racking, and wiring removal

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A detach and reset removes panels temporarily so your roof can be replaced, then reinstalls everything. A removal-only job takes the system off the roof and doesn't put it back. You pay for half the work — which usually means a meaningfully lower price than a full detach-reset.
Not when it's done correctly. Every panel attaches to your roof through a flashed and sealed penetration. We remove the bracket, replace and re-flash the area, and seal the penetration so water can't get in. You should not have any new leaks from the removal.
Yes. We can haul the equipment off-site and route it through proper solar panel recycling channels (Arizona has a couple of options for end-of-life PV recycling). If panels are in good shape, secondary-market buyers will sometimes purchase used panels — we can point you to one if you'd like to sell rather than recycle.
Most Arizona residential removals (15–30 panels) take 4–8 hours in a single day. Larger systems or harder-access roofs can stretch to a day and a half.
In most Arizona jurisdictions, decommissioning a residential PV system requires an electrical permit and sometimes a building permit if you want the structural attachments officially removed from record. We handle permitting as part of the quote when needed.
Pricing varies by system size, roof type, and equipment-removal scope, but typical Phoenix-metro residential removals run $1,200–$3,500. Call (480) 270-2745 for a free quote.
